Barbara Vance

I couldn't find any sources about when and where she has bord, however, I did find something about her.

She is an author and illustrator and a Visiting Assistant Professor at the University of Texas at Dallas. Also, she works on films with cultural organizations and museums, and consults on screenplays, marketing campaigns, and novels; and speaks about narrative and storytelling strategies.

She writes children's poetry and her stories have been used by numerous education and arts organizations.

She has published until now two books: Suzie Bitner Wa Afraid of the Drain (2010) and Merry Christmas, Snert! (2014).

There is a very known poem of her:

"If you always try your best

Then you'll never have to wonder

About you could have done

If you'd summoned all your thunder.

And if your best

Was not as good

As you hoped it would be,

You still could say,

"I gave today

All that I had in me." "

I love this poem and the fact that this was written for kids is incredible because we need to know this since we are children. First of all, she says that we should always try our best because if we do it then we don't have to worry about what we could have done better. So, I think the message is: give to the world every day all that you have in yourself.
