WORDS, WORDS, WORDS...

"As the world changes, the vocabulary that we use moves on, too".

The text is about the English language in the world. Words are part of our everyday life, but what fascinates the author is the words that "didn't even exist a few years ago". The text intends to give us information about where those new English words came from and what do some mean.

In the end, the author challenges the readers to try to make up some new words.

CHRISTMAS AT THE TOY MUSEUM                                  This is a book written by David Lucas. The teacher without saying anything about it gave us 4 words that we had to make a sentence with it and then complete the story with 150 words minimum. My group made it this way:

I went to a Christmas party at the toy museum.

It was snowing outside and it was a cold Christmas Eve.

Making my way to the museum I felt something special that I couldn't explain, something magical.

When I opened the door I saw a huge tree wrapped around with a lot of Christmas decorations.

The party just had already started and there was a big table with a lot of candies, YAMYYYY!

I was enjoying getting along with the other kids talking about the gifts we would like to receive when suddenly a big man with a long white beard and red clothes with ice on the top of it due to the snow, appeared with a full beautiful red bag. It was Santa Claus! Because we couldn't play with the toys that were in exposition, Santa gave to every kid a toy. When it was my turn to receive one of his gifts he winked me and smile.

I just opened the gift when I got home because I wanted to open it alone. You will not imagine what he gave to me! He gave me the gift I wanted and I was asking my mom for it, a remote-controlled helicopter and something else was there, a letter...
